APRA AMCOS: International Song Comp 2018 winners featuring Ali Pahlavan

Drum roll please...the International Songwriting Competition (ISC) has announced its 2018 winners, with an impressive showing again from Aussie and Kiwi songwriters across an array of categories.

First place honours go to The Presets for Downtown Shutdown in the EDM category and Robbie Melville for his work Junkyard in the Instrumental category.

 

They won for Rock Work of the Year at the #APRAs and now Sarah Aarons and co-writers Sam Margin and Elliott Margin can add an ISC 2nd place honour (Pop/Top 40) for The Ruben's Never Ever to their list of achievements.

Second place honours EDM went to Wax Motif and collaborators including Anna Lunoe and Styalz Fuego for I Can't Hold. Comedy 2nd place went to Pete Denahy for Bat In The Cave; John Walsh won 3rd in the Lyrics Only category, and picking up a 3rd place Country finish was Casey Barnes for Be Mine, co-written with producer duo MSquared

The People's Voice prize went to Iranian-Australian songwriter Ali Pahlavan for Naab.
